When my kids were small a favorite television show was the Magic School Bus.  Is it still on?  We saw every show and got the books besides.  Ms. Frizzle, the best teacher ever, used to say something like, “Take chances!  Make mistakes!  Get messy!”  What a great mantra.

Take chances! Make mistakes! Get messy!

Tonight, at the end of an active day at the horse farm and in my garden I’m a dirty, stinky mess and in the best mood I’ve been in in weeks.

Take chances! Make mistakes! Get messy!

When was the last time you took a chance, made a mistake or got messy?  When you did, I hope you had fun, learned a cool lesson or just enjoyed acting like a kid, like I did today.  If it’s been a while, start looking for opportunities to not be so careful.  Let yourself go and play.  As Ms. Frizzle would say, “Yowza!”
