The other day I got this email:
“My name is Richard France and I work for an organization called Cause & Affect, a social action campaign management and consulting firm. We have been working with… PBS on outreach centered around the three-part documentary series, This Emotional Life (TEL).
The show (and the campaign supporting it) focuses on emotional wellness in a variety of areas, including happiness, relationships, attachment, depression, and PTSD, among others. It was viewed by over 10 million people and the outreach campaign has directly impacted hundreds of thousands of people across the country. We have an active community of just under 18,000 people on Facebook and nearly 2,000 followers on Twitter.”
I knew what This Emotional Life was. I saw the series when it aired on PBS and wrote about it on this blog. Mr. France went on:
“This month and next we’ll be focusing on relationships and we are coordinating a 1-hour webinar where experts can discuss relationships and share their insights with our audiences. This is an opportunity to reach a broad and diverse audience, with attendees from around the globe.”
Whoo-hoo! I was asked to be on the panel of experts to discuss a topic pertinent to relationships for This Emotional Life! I am so excited about this event for many reasons, not least of which is I really respect my fellow panelists and am beyond honored to be among them.
Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to the webinar date!
Congratulations. You will be great and those watching will be lucky to have you presenting.
